As 2017 comes to an end, Spotify has once again shown me my top songs of the year. If you missed my top songs of 2016, you can check it out here.
Last year saw Desiigner, Lady Gaga and James Arthur and this year was just as eclectic!
I love music, I even have a treble clef tattoo on my right wrist. Whenever I feel sad, upset, excited (you get my drift), music is the first thing I turn to.
Here are a few that I think you need to listen to.

The Reason Is You
I wanted to share with you some reasons why these songs are constantly played. A lot of the songs on the playlist are there because they’re emotional.
83 Days is about how you think you’re over someone, but then you hear a certain song and you’re right back to the start. I found it by accident on a Spotify playlist and it still makes my heart beat a bit faster when I hear the first chords.
Sex Is In The Heel from Kinky Boots is one of my absolute favourites. I saw Kinky Boots in London in 2015 and I cannot even describe to you how incredible it was. I’ve played the soundtrack over and over and it takes you on such a journey. A guy follows in his father’s footsteps because he felt obligated to. He then discovers a passion that could get him laughed at, but he followed it anyway. Such an inspiration.
I Never Met A Wolf is from Bombshell, the play within the tv show SMASH. If you haven’t seen it, it’s about creating a production based on Marilyn Monroe and how she became the blonde bombshell that we know and love. This song is about how she’s owning her sexuality, using men to her advantage, and it’s such an amazing song for those times when you need an ego boost.
What are on your list, I’d love to know!
