Primark Feeds My Slytherin Pride

Primark has some amazing Harry Potter merchandise, including Slytherin tote bags and pencil cases

It’s no secret that I’m obsessed with Harry Potter¬†and I’m a proud Slytherin, so when Primark started to release new merchandise, I knew that I needed it.

Over the years, I’ve collected quite a few bits and bobs with Slytherin on it (not easy when a lot of people declare themselves as Gryffindor so that’s the only merch shops sell….) and shared my new goodies on social media…

Ok Primark, your wish is my command!

I think the t-shirt was the very first Slytherin item I bought because I wanted to show my¬†house with pride. It’s a bit snug now and it’s fading quite a lot, but I will never throw this away.

I saw another one in Primark but it was a faded green and a bit shapeless. I wish I’d tried it on, but I think it would’ve looked a bit blah because of the faded colour.

I got the onesie for Christmas from my Mum and I was SO happy that I actually spread it out over myself for the rest of the afternoon. As soon as I got home, I put it on.

It is the comfiest thing¬†I’ve ever owned and I love onesies, I’ve even slept in this one during the winter. Yeah, it smells quite a bit so it’s had to go in the wash. Sad times.

Tote Bag

This was SUCH¬†a bargain! It was originally¬†¬£3 but I spotted it whilst in the queue and it had a red sticker on it! You know what that means… SALE!!

It was ¬£1. Yep, a quid, 100 pennies… I can’t think of any other ways to say it, but can you believe it?? ¬£1 for an awesome tote bag that I plan on keeping my bullet journal things in.

Pencil Case

I recently started bullet journalling and have a lot of pens (I mean a lot, probably about 60) so decided to get a pencil case for it all.

I found this one hidden behind loads of Gryffindor ones and snatched it straight away. When you see something you like in Primark, you snatch it because it won’t be there for long.

This beauty¬†was ¬£4 and there’s still loads of room in it for when I buy more pens.

Harry Potter Duvet Set

My sister bought me the duvet set for Christmas and I put it on straight away. I didn’t even wash it first (gross, I know).

I love the smell of brand new things which really fights with my need to wash things first… In this case, the brand new smell won.

The best thing about it is that it’s reversible. The pillowcase and the duvet cover are both reversible¬†depending on how you’re feeling. One side is white with Hs and an owl on it, the other side¬†is black with lightning bolts.

Solemnly Swear Jumper

When I got this, I didn’t even try it on. I just picked up a large and walked away. When I got it home and tried it on, it was way too big.

It’s super warm, super cosy and it’s a bit bobbly now it’s been washed a few times. I’m not sure how to not let it go bobbly (any tips??) but I wear it almost every single day. No joke. I’d wear it to my non-existent wedding if it was an option (totally having an HP wedding though).

I got the scarf from Harrods a couple of years ago and it’s so awesome. And super hot. I only wear it for 10 minutes before I’m too hot and want to take it off!

I remember walking through Grand Central with it on and a girl wearing a Gryffindor scarf walked towards me. We just smiled at each other and I knew that we’d made a connection, no matter how quickly it disappeared.

Wish List

There are still so many things that I want to get.

I want the whole set of books but I can’t find a set where I like the covers. They’re either a bit childish or they just look tacky (sorry!)

I also want a necklace or chocker but I can’t find any that I like – I think I might hit Etsy for it.

Something I’ve wanted for years and got recently was the Deathly Hallows tattoo! Yes I’m a nerd. I got it on the inside of my right ankle and you only know it’s there if you look for it. I love it so much.

Primark has amazing Harry Potter merchandise and I am building a nice Slytherin collection

What’s on your wish list?
